Good games need good boundaries.
These play guidelines apply to Scatter's private-group engineering preview. Your host is responsible for choosing an appropriate area and agreeing on group rules before play.
Look up from the map
- Use safe, permitted public paths. Keep away from roads, railways, water hazards and private property.
- Agree on the play zone, how tags are confirmed, physical-contact boundaries and how to stop the game.
- Do not chase anyone who is not taking part. Respect other people using the space.
- Pause immediately if someone needs help, loses contact or wants to stop.
Respect your group
Use a recognizable username. Do not impersonate others, harass players, publish private codes publicly without agreement, or share another person's location or messages. Use block/report controls when needed.
Understand device limits
GPS can be inaccurate, networks can disconnect and browser location can stop in the background. Scatter is not an emergency, safety or navigation service. A stale map point is not proof of someone's current position or a valid tag. Always keep a separate way to contact your group.
